Perpetual desk calendar

A little cake that makes every day special.

Sweet enough to decorate a desk, useful enough to reach for every morning.

Under the mint lid sit four cream rings. The top one carries the weekdays, the next two carry the date, the bottom one carries the months — all printed in soft orange. Above them a pink HAPPY BIRTHDAY topper and a candle with a painted flame that never burns down.

So it reads as two things at once. A small celebration somebody left on your desk, and a calendar that still works in five years.

Why you will love it.

A cake on the desk
Mint icing lid, cream rings, pink topper, painted candle. Dessert-shop colours without a dessert-shop mess.
Year after year
No pages to buy in January and nothing to reprint. The rings hold every weekday, day and month there is.
Turn, do not tap
Each ring turns by hand and settles onto the number. No app, no pairing, no screen to wake up.
No batteries
Nothing to charge and no cable to lose. Set it, and it holds the date until you move it.
Any small space
Desk, nightstand, bookshelf, windowsill, a till at the front of a shop. It earns the corner it takes.
Ready to gift
It ships in a printed gift box, so it goes from the carton to their hands without wrapping paper.

Three rings, and the date is set.

Two middle rings

The date is split into tens and ones, so two rings make any day of the month. Turn them to 0 and 7 for the 7th, or to 2 and 8 for the 28th.

Five seconds in the morning, or once a month when you remember. Either way it is the only calendar on the desk that gets touched.

One hand is enough.

Rest two fingers on a ring and turn. Each one seats into a light detent, so it lands on a number and stays there instead of drifting while you dust around it.

Molded ABS, matte finish

The body is molded ABS with a matte surface, so it sits solid on a desk and wipes clean with a damp cloth. The numerals are printed into the surface rather than applied on top, which is why they do not lift at the edges after a season of handling.

Desk, nightstand, shelf, windowsill.

On a work desk it is the thing a coworker picks up and turns without asking first. On a nightstand it is the last thing in view before the lamp goes off. On a shelf it fills the gap between two books that nothing else quite fits.

Green icing, cream rings, orange numerals — a palette that sits quietly next to plants, wood and white ceramic instead of fighting them.

It arrives ready to hand over.

The cake ships inside a printed kraft gift box with a braided cord handle — the one in the photos, with the small figure and the pink poppies on the side panel.

That is the point of the box. No wrapping paper, no gift bag, no apology at the door. You lift it out of the shipping carton and hand it over.

What is in the box.

The calendar, the HAPPY BIRTHDAY topper and the printed gift box. The macarons, candies and cake slice in the photos are styling props and are not included.

The candle is a single solid piece with a painted flame, set into the icing. The topper slots into the lid and lifts out if you would rather keep the cake plain.

A sweet gift for someone special.

For mom
A cheerful little addition to her desk, her kitchen counter or the corner where the mail lands.
For your best friend
For the one who already owns every candle and mug, and would still keep this out where people can see it.
For a coworker
A desk gift that adds something to look at without adding clutter to the shared office.
For a birthday
A cake that survives the candles. Set it to their date before you hand it over and they will get it the next morning.

“It sat on my sister’s desk for three weeks before she realized the rings move. She sent me a photo of it set to her own birthday and said it was the only present she kept out where people could see it.”

“Bought two — one for my mom, one for my own desk. The green is softer in person than on screen, closer to a mint. It sits heavier than I expected for the size, which I like; it does not slide when you turn the rings.”

“Exactly as pictured, and the box is better than I expected — thick card with a real cord handle. Handed it over at the office without wrapping a thing and it got passed around the room.”

“Came in October for a January birthday, so it sat in my cupboard for three months. Set it the night before and it has been on the windowsill ever since. Turning the rings is genuinely satisfying.”
One last thing
Some gifts get opened, thanked, and put away. This one stays out — it is the only thing on the desk that has to be touched to work.
A little sweetness for the desk. A thought that lasts longer than the candles.
